Southern Humboldt Working Together or SHWT is a local coalition of private citizens, businesses, service organizations and faith-based organizations. The objective is to promote positive growth and sustain a healthy community for future generations. To date, SHWT has brought in more than $200,000 in grant dollars targeted for community building. SHWT consists of a 5-member board of directors and community volunteers. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month from 12 noon until 1:30. Presently, SHWT meets at the Garberville Civic Club on Maple Street. Redwoods Rural Health Center is the fiscal agent for SHWT and all financial transactions are processed through the the health center. The RRHC Board of Directors provides fiscal oversight and assures compliance with the funders requirements. Southern Humboldt Working Together (SHWT)
