Full-Time Integrated
Behavioral Health Clinician  â€‹

 

Redwoods Rural Health Center is implementing the Primary Care/Behavioral Health (PC/BH) model within the organization and works with medical clinics and programs to instill integrated care coordination into the culture of the organization.

  • Provides development and evaluative assistance and general oversight to the program.

  • Provides clinical supervision of and instruction to Integrated Behavioral Health Clinicians and graduate level interns as part of an organization Workforce Development Program.

  • Provides direct patient care both within the PCBH model and/or long-term therapy for patient/ population needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Doctorate (PsyD or PhD) and/or master’s in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field in Psychology

  • Experience: Five years working with people with mental or behavioral health needs and clinical supervision experience. Two years of leadership experience is required. Experience in the medical field is preferred. Will consider associate level clinicians (ACSW, AMFT, similar), IF they have already achieved 2000 hours of clinical supervision towards their clinical license.

  • Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Either fully licensed or associate level clinicians will be considered for this position. Full-Time Physician Assistant​

 

Redwoods Rural Health Center (RRHC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our integrated health care team. The Physician Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Medical Director, providing comprehensive primary medical services. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients of all ages, coordinating with internal and external providers, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, prescribing medications, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement and community outreach efforts.

 

Ideal candidates will hold a valid, unrestricted California PA license and DEA registration, be board certified or eligible, and have current ACLS/CPR certification. Successful applicants will bring a deep understanding of modern medical practice in a community health setting and demonstrate strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to RRHC’s mission. Full-Time Remote Licensed Marriage &

Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a LMFT/LCSW therapist who can work anywhere in the country if licensed in California to provide therapy to clients referred by health providers or self-referred in individual and group sessions. 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Carry out program enrollment, intake and care management  

  • Assist with quality improvement, chemical dependency programs, and the integrated behavioral health program  

  • Support and carry out crisis assessment as needed to assess a patient’s danger to self, danger to others and/or grave disability  

  • Serve as a consultant to primary care staff on mental health and behavioral issues  

  • Provide in-service training to staff on mental health and care issues as directed  

  • Accurately and appropriately complete medical record documentation  

  • Accurately code all services for legal, clinical and payor compliance 

  • Complete continuing education and other requirements and attend staff meetings, training, workshops, and conferences as needed 

  • Assist with community outreach efforts

Full-Time Patient Outreach & Care Navigator​

Full-Time Registered Nurse​
​​

Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking two Registered Nurses for our Redway location. The Clinical (RN) provides general nursing care to patients in the clinic and over the phone. The RN plays an essential role in providing patient access through visits using protocols and transitioning to provider whenever able or needed. Within the Care Team, the RN works as a point person for daily triage.​​

​

RN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for phone triage assessment and/or in-person triage for patients with urgent needs and schedules patients after appropriate triage.

  • Actively supports provider workflows by managing and addressing items in provider inboxes, such as PAQs (Provider Action Queues), MyChart messages, in accordance with nursing scope of practice and clinic protocols.

  • Responsible for limited types of patient visits including immunizations, education, and co-visits as determined by the RN Clinic Manager or Medical Director.

  • Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension.

  • Responsible for patient assessment based on chief complaint and treatment as outlined by Nursing Protocols or provider direction.

  • Observes patient, records, significant conditions, and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Provider of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

  • Communicates directly with clinic providers regarding patient assessment and needs; transitions patient to the provider as needed.

  • Utilizes Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation (SBAR) warm hand-off method.

  • Recommends and/or administers medications and vaccines as ordered by medical provider or by protocol.

  • Responsible for coding each visit accurately.

  • Accurately records patient history, exam notes, medication history, ongoing care, and referrals in employee medical record (EMR) according to RRHC Protocols.

  • Manages inbox and appropriate tasks in their assigned providers’ inboxes; ensures team inbox tasks are completed in a timely manner according to team role and scope.

  • Assists in Chronic Care management, such as outreach calls, care coordination, etc.

  • Assists and/or facilitates routine daily huddles within the team.

  • Provides oversite to the MA working in the Care Team as needed for safe vaccine delivery.

  • Maintains awareness of the comfort and safety needs of the patient.

  • Responds to medically urgent situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.

  • Attend and participate in meetings and Quality Improvement activities as required.

  • Identifies problems related to patient services and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Participates in Quality improvement activities, meetings, and initiatives.

  • Responsible for infection prevention program and efforts within the clinic and serving as the infection prevention contact for the County.

  • Under Medical Director, manages the on-site pharmacy and ensures security, documentation of medications that are brought in (samples, donated, purchased or through), schedules the quarterly Pharmacy Audit / Inspection carried out by a licensed contracted Pharmacist.  Oversight of Pharmacy relations and prescription refills done by Medical Assistants for providers.

  • Partners with providers in a fast-paced, team-based care environment to improve timely care delivery, close care gaps, and coordinate services.

  • Maybe asked to manage medication refills per approved RRHC protocol and within the RN scope of practice, ensuring timely and accurate refills for patients.

  • Performs other duties as identified and assigned by supervisor.

(Hybrid work schedule)​

Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, a proven record of advising on business and tax matters, and a passion for excellence. In this role, you'll collaborate with our team, lead special projects and will be responsible for a company’s financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. This is an in-person only position.  After successful completion of the training period, this role will shift to a hybrid work schedule, combining on-site and remote work.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzing complex financial reports and records

  • Overseeing billing and ensuring accuracy

  • Overseeing the vendors' payments and ensuring accuracy

  • Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations

  • Assisting with bank, financial, and tax audits

  • Documenting and monitoring internal controls

  • Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments

  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary.

  • Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO in running audits.

  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

  • Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar major is required

  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a healthcare setting

Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist with Extended Functions (RDH-EF) to join our dedicated team! This is an exciting opportunity to provide top-notch preventive and restorative care in a supportive community health setting. You’ll work under the supervision of the Dental Director and collaborate closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive oral health care to patients of all ages.

In this role, you’ll perform everything from cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and patient education to advanced RDH-EF duties like placing and adjusting restorations, taking final impressions, and supporting orthodontic care. You’ll also participate in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and ongoing training to support both your growth and the health center’s mission. Your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve.

The ideal candidate will hold a current RDH license in California, RDH-EF certification, CPR (BLS) certification, and have strong clinical and communication skills. RRHC is an EOE and offers a 4-day work week, (not all positions will qualify for 4 days a week benefit), and competitive compensation. Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist​

​

Redwoods Rural Health Center (RRHC) is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced and friendly health center. The Registered Dental Hygienist works under the direct supervision of the Dental Director and the general direction of the Executive Director. The Registered Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients of the health center.
 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respect and abide by the mission and mission statement

  • Assists in the oral health management of all clinic patients.

  • Obtains baseline oral hygiene assessment data based upon accepted principles of oral hygiene and periodontal care.

  • Records patient-hygienist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record so that the dental record accurately and completely reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient and the care or treatment provided.

  • Provides oral health education and appropriate individual counseling for all health center dental patients.

  • Provides clinical oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application and fluoride application consistent with accepted professional practices and standards and in compliance with applicable state law and the health center’s clinical protocols.

  • Integration of appropriate patient dental hygiene care with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient’s healthcare management.

  • Assists in the provision of technical assistance and health education in the community as requested.

  • Performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by a dentist in accordance with state regulations and law as well as dental department protocol and directive.

  • Assists in the maintenance of all dental department areas in compliance with dental department directive and policies as well as health center policies and procedures relative to infection control, exposure control and safety issues.

  • Receives and places necessary telephone calls consistent with professional matters, clinic business and patient care of the dental department.

  • Insures the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials in accordance with dental department directive and health center policy as well as state and federal regulations.

  • Complies in full with the center’s exposure control plan.

  • As directed by dental director, performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives.

  • Provide in-services to staff on dental issues as needed and requested by Dental Director.

  • Accurately codes all services for legal, clinical and payor compliance.

  • Deal with clients of all age groups.

  • Attend regular chart and case review sessions with all concerned clinic staff.

  • Attend staff meetings, training, workshops, and conferences as needed and directed by the Dental Director.

  • Assist with community outreach efforts.

  • Knowledge of professional and ethical standards of care.

  • Knowledge and adherence to safety and conduct rules, other regulations and the policies and procedures of Redwoods Rural Health Center.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of dental policy.

  • Assist with disease collaborative as needed

  • Participates in the division’s CQI quality assurance program

  • Participate in CQI and HRSA 330 mandated performance requirements.

  • Participates in off site meetings and community events as necessary

  • Complies with the terms and conditions of the employment agreement.
     

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.

  • Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred.
     

LICENSURE AND CREDENTIALS

  • Unrestricted dental hygienist license to practice in the State of California.

  • Current CPR (BLS) certifications.
     

EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated clinical skills in an academic setting and successful completion of an accredited residency program or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern oral hygiene and periodontal patient care is necessary.

  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern dentistry as related to public health organizations

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills required.

  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred

ANNUAL PAY AND BENEFITS

  • Annual compensation $83,853.00 - $109,534.00 per year depending on license and qualifications.

  • Four-day, 10 hours per day work week (not all positions will qualify for 4 days a week benefit)
