Full-Time Integrated
Behavioral Health Clinician  â€‹

 

Redwoods Rural Health Center is implementing an in-person Primary Care/Behavioral Health (PC/BH) model within the organization and works with medical clinics and programs to instill integrated care coordination into the culture of the organization.

  • Provides development and evaluative assistance and general oversight to the program.

  • Provides clinical supervision of and instruction to Integrated Behavioral Health Clinicians and graduate level interns as part of an organization Workforce Development Program.

  • Provides direct patient care both within the PCBH model and/or long-term therapy for patient/ population needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Doctorate (PsyD or PhD) and/or master’s in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field in Psychology

  • Experience: Five years working with people with mental or behavioral health needs and clinical supervision experience. Two years of leadership experience is required. Experience in the medical field is preferred. Will consider associate level clinicians (ACSW, AMFT, similar), IF they have already achieved 2000 hours of clinical supervision towards their clinical license.

  • Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Either fully licensed or associate level clinicians will be considered for this position. These roles may include Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Counselor (APC). A current California State driver’s license. Out-of-state applicants with the ability to obtain a California license from the BBS would also be considered for this role. Associate-level clinicians will be provided with clinical supervision hours/training as part of this role as outlined by California BBS.

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based and best practices in the behavioral health field. Ability to design, implement and evaluate programs and services. Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing, with individuals and groups. Ability to work within a team framework in a variety of settings. Conflict resolution skills. Ability to compile data and generate reports using common business software. Ability to create, plan, and implement schedules each week to meet job requirements. Broad range of knowledge and clinical skills in the field of behavioral health and behavioral medicine, knowledge of California Law and Ethics and best practice guidelines set forth by California BBS as related to the provision of mental health services, knowledge of cultural differences and relevant referral resources. Knowledge of latest studies and practices in primary care/behavioral health integration. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Full-Time Physician Assistant​

 

Redwoods Rural Health Center (RRHC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our integrated health care team. The Physician Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Medical Director, providing comprehensive primary medical services. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients of all ages, coordinating with internal and external providers, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, prescribing medications, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement and community outreach efforts.

 

Ideal candidates will hold a valid, unrestricted California PA license and DEA registration, be board certified or eligible, and have current ACLS/CPR certification. Successful applicants will bring a deep understanding of modern medical practice in a community health setting and demonstrate strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to RRHC’s mission. Experience in a family practice or outpatient clinic setting is preferred. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and supportive rural healthcare environment.

Full-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO)​

 

Redwoods Rural Health Center (RRHC) is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The Chief Financial Officer directs all financial operations, including budgeting, revenue cycle, 340B programs, and grants management (HRSA) to ensure long-term sustainability. The CFO will report to the CEO, to ensure fiscal health through strategic planning, financial reporting, and auditing. Requirements typically include CFO/Controller experience, preferably with FQHC/grant knowledge. Following successful completion of onsite training, the position will transition to a hybrid work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Reporting: Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support organizational goals. Present financial statements to the board of directors.

  • Grants & Compliance Manage HRSA Section 330 grant funding, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee UDS (Uniform Data System) reporting.

  • Revenue Cycle Management: Optimize billing, collections, and reimbursement processes (Medicaid/Medicare/Private).

  • Financial Operations: Maintain internal controls, manage cash flow, and oversee accounting, payroll, and 340B pharmacy program compliance.

  • Leadership: Advise the CEO and executive team on fiscal matters, and manage financial staff.
     

Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success in the role of senior financial executive with a comparable or larger sized organization. Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) experience would be highly preferred.

  • Substantial business experience and exposure within the health care industry.

  • Demonstrate a solid knowledge base in Electronic Medical Record and Patient Billing Management Systems.

  • Substantial knowledge and expertise in all facets of finance, accounting, business planning, information systems and related disciplines.

  • Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of financial and accounting systems and processes.

  • Ability to provide leadership & establish commitment to the development and implementation of financial strategies, plans, policies, and business initiatives as determined by the CEO.

  • Demonstrate a high level of skill at building relationships and strategic partnerships both internally and externally.

  • Expertise in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), financial software, and non-profit/grant accounting.

  • Proficiency in healthcare-specific ERP systems (e.g., MIP) and integration with Electronic Health Records (EHR) like EPIC.
     

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required; an MBA or MHA is highly preferred.
     

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of senior-level financial management experience, ideally in an FQHC or community health center setting.
     

Certification:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable.

Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist​

Redwoods Rural Health Center (RRHC) is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced and friendly health center. The Registered Dental Hygienist works under the direct supervision of the Dental Director and the general direction of the Executive Director. The Registered Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients of the health center.
 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respect and abide by the mission and mission statement

  • Assists in the oral health management of all clinic patients.

  • Obtains baseline oral hygiene assessment data based upon accepted principles of oral hygiene and periodontal care.

  • Records patient-hygienist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record so that the dental record accurately and completely reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient and the care or treatment provided.

  • Provides oral health education and appropriate individual counseling for all health center dental patients.

  • Provides clinical oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application and fluoride application consistent with accepted professional practices and standards and in compliance with applicable state law and the health center’s clinical protocols.

  • Integration of appropriate patient dental hygiene care with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient’s healthcare management.

  • Assists in the provision of technical assistance and health education in the community as requested.

  • Performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by a dentist in accordance with state regulations and law as well as dental department protocol and directive.

  • Assists in the maintenance of all dental department areas in compliance with dental department directive and policies as well as health center policies and procedures relative to infection control, exposure control and safety issues.

  • Receives and places necessary telephone calls consistent with professional matters, clinic business and patient care of the dental department.

  • Insures the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials in accordance with dental department directive and health center policy as well as state and federal regulations.

  • Complies in full with the center’s exposure control plan.

  • As directed by dental director, performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve organizational and programmatic goals and objectives.

  • Provide in-services to staff on dental issues as needed and requested by Dental Director.

  • Accurately codes all services for legal, clinical and payor compliance.

  • Deal with clients of all age groups.

  • Attend regular chart and case review sessions with all concerned clinic staff.

  • Attend staff meetings, training, workshops, and conferences as needed and directed by the Dental Director.

  • Assist with community outreach efforts.

  • Knowledge of professional and ethical standards of care.

  • Knowledge and adherence to safety and conduct rules, other regulations and the policies and procedures of Redwoods Rural Health Center.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of dental policy.

  • Assist with disease collaborative as needed

  • Participates in the division’s CQI quality assurance program

  • Participate in CQI and HRSA 330 mandated performance requirements.

  • Participates in off site meetings and community events as necessary

  • Complies with the terms and conditions of the employment agreement.
     

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.

  • Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred.
     

LICENSURE AND CREDENTIALS

  • Unrestricted dental hygienist license to practice in the State of California.

  • Current CPR (BLS) certifications.
     

EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated clinical skills in an academic setting and successful completion of an accredited residency program or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern oral hygiene and periodontal patient care is necessary.

  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of modern dentistry as related to public health organizations

with Extended Functions (RDH-EF) â€‹

 

Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist with Extended Functions (RDH-EF) to join our dedicated team! This is an exciting opportunity to provide top-notch preventive and restorative care in a supportive community health setting. You’ll work under the supervision of the Dental Director and collaborate closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive oral health care to patients of all ages.

In this role, you’ll perform everything from cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and patient education to advanced RDH-EF duties like placing and adjusting restorations, taking final impressions, and supporting orthodontic care.
