Full-Time Registered Dental Assistant - Redway

Full-Time Integrated
Behavioral Health Clinician
Redwoods Rural Health Center is implementing an in-person Primary Care/Behavioral Health (PC/BH) model within the organization and works with medical clinics and programs to instill integrated care coordination into the culture of the organization.

Provides development and evaluative assistance and general oversight to the program.
-
Provides clinical supervision of and instruction to Integrated Behavioral Health Clinicians and graduate level interns as part of an organization Workforce Development Program.
-
Provides direct patient care both within the PCBH model and/or long-term therapy for patient/ population needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Doctorate (PsyD or PhD) and/or master’s in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field in Psychology
-
Experience: Five years working with people with mental or behavioral health needs and clinical supervision experience. Two years of leadership experience is required. Experience in the medical field is preferred. Will consider associate level clinicians (ACSW, AMFT, similar), IF they have already achieved 2000 hours of clinical supervision towards their clinical license.

Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Either fully licensed or associate level clinicians will be considered for this position. These roles may include Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Counselor (APC). A current California State driver’s license. Out-of-state applicants with the ability to obtain a California license from the BBS would also be considered for this role. Associate-level clinicians will be provided with clinical supervision hours/training as part of this role as outlined by California BBS.

Ability to create, plan, and implement schedules each week to meet job requirements. Broad range of knowledge and clinical skills in the field of behavioral health and behavioral medicine, knowledge of California Law and Ethics and best practice guidelines set forth by California BBS as related to the provision of mental health services, knowledge of cultural differences and relevant referral resources. Knowledge of latest studies and practices in primary care/behavioral health integration. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse
Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for our Fortuna and Redway clinic locations. The LVN must possess expert understanding and demonstration of Medical Assistant (MA) tasks. They can perform these tasks independently, describe the purpose of the task and troubleshoot issues, and provide patient instruction and education surrounding the task. The LVN also possess basic understanding of LVN scope of practice as determined by the California Board of Vocational Nursing (BVN).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivers compassionate assistance to patients in alignment with RRHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
-
Acts as an expert resource to medical assistants.
-
Obtains and records patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for the medical chart while maintaining strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA, HITECH, and California regulations.
-
Prepares patients for the visit and provider examination by performing preliminary screenings, vital signs, measurements, and other rooming and charting duties.
-
Observes patient, records and reports significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or medical provider of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
-
Performs chart preparation and robust confirmation calls before scheduled appointments to ensure the patient visit is smooth and efficient.
-
Follows EPIC EMR workflows for MA/ LVN duties, including standard rooming intake, telephone call documentation, prepping/routing refill encounters, and managing appropriate messages within EMR inboxes and pools.
-
Properly conducts MA procedures in alignment with RRHC guidelines, such as electrocardiographs (ECG), respiratory testing, vision and hearing tests, ear irrigations, peak flows, nebulizers, and more.
-
Administers medications and vaccines as ordered by medical provider or by protocol using the ten (10) rights of administration.
-
Sets up, assists and cleans up for minor procedures in clinic such aspap smears, mole removals, minor lacerations, incision and drainage (I&Ds), and more.
-
Properly obtains specimens and performs point-of-care testing according to laboratory protocols.
-
Stocks and cleans exam rooms to remove clutter and ensure patient safety.
-
Properly disposes of bio-hazard waste.
-
Follows standard practices of medical asepsis to clean and disinfect exam rooms and other patient facing areas of the clinic.
-
Ensures the proper sterilization and packaging of instruments, as well as the proper maintenance of the autoclave machine.
-
Follows guidelines for universal precautions including hand washing and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
-
Schedules appointments and follow up visits per RRHC’s guidelines.
-
Explains procedures and treatments to patients under the direction of an RN or medical provider for the patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and relieve apprehension.
-
Identifies areas of improvement of workflows and processes, and assists clinic leadership with testing and implementing improvements.
-
Floats to other RRHC clinics when needed to provide coverage when requested or minimum staffing levels not met.
-
As necessary, may be required to support delivery of medications to patients’ homes.
-
Assists in chronic care management, such as outreach calls, care coordination, and more.
-
Assists and/or facilitates routine daily huddles within the team.
-
Participates in evaluation of peers and support staff.
-
Participates in staff meetings as required.
-
Participates in Open Door quality improvement activities, meetings, and initiatives.
-
Performs specialized duties, projects and other duties as identified and assigned by supervisor.

Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a California licensed LMFT/LCSW therapist to provide therapy to clients referred by health providers or self-referred in individual and group sessions.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out program enrollment, intake and care management

Assist with quality improvement, chemical dependency programs, and the integrated behavioral health program

Support and carry out crisis assessment as needed to assess a patient’s danger to self, danger to others and/or grave disability

Serve as a consultant to primary care staff on mental health and behavioral issues
-
Provide in-service training to staff on mental health and care issues as directed
-
Accurately and appropriately complete medical record documentation
-
Accurately code all services for legal, clinical and payor compliance
-
Complete continuing education and other requirements and attend staff meetings, training, workshops, and conferences as needed

Assist with community outreach efforts

Adhere to professional and ethical standards of care and RRHC policies and procedures

Complete training and maintain proficiency in core functions of practice management and all core functionality of the Electronic Records system and other applications, as needed

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
