Tiffany Hood 01.04.24.jpg

Tiffany Hood, FNP

I was raised in the bay area in a family that spent much of our time with primates. My mother worked closely with Lodi, Oakland, and San Francisco Zoos, as well as UC Davis. We often took in abused primates and nursed them back to health. This was my first experience of medical care that started me on my journey.

I am the mother of 6 children and have been married for 39 years. We have lived from one end of California to the other, but our favorite is always Northern California.

I have worked in the medical field most of my life and have experienced many roles from Medical Assistant, researcher, chemist, phlebotomist, registered nurse, clinic manager and nurse practitioner. When I found the nursing role, I knew I had found my true passion and have continued to grow and progress within this role for the last 25 years.

Karen Ralsten

Certified Phlebotomy Technician

Karen has gifted us with 13 years of compassionate service. Our resident phlebotomist, Karen runs all our strep and COVID tests, pregnancy tests, hemoglobin and A1C testing, urinalysis, and so much more. Over 1200 appointments are held at our lab annually, and vast majority of that is at expert hands of Karen.

Aside from lab management, Karen also spearheads supply orders, including all the fun freebies you see up for grabs in our hallways - bandages, vitamins, sanitizers, shampoos, over-the-counter medications and much more. Please help yourself; they’re free for taking thanks to Karen.

When not tending to our clinic's needs during the work week, Karen carves out time for the community at large.  You’ll often find her helping hands at local volunteer events, such as the annual Taste of the Cove for the benefit of Heart of the Redwoods Community Hospice.
